Basics
The project idea
Few years ago youth workers from Poland, Germany and Israel realized that the topic of Righteous Among the Nations is a beautiful and bright point in our common difficult history. During the three years of our project we were discovering all the time how much we can learn from stories of these incredible people.
The project gathered youth workers, animators and students from Poland, German and Israel. Its main idea was to show that stories of Righteous are both important to commemorate and still relevant nowadays. We found and showed that peace, tolerance and the willingness to help can be always implemented.
During the different editions of the project we used various tools – workshop scenario, radio feature, photo exhibition, theatre performance – to share with others the tremendous stories of virtuousness.
One Lady helped us to make this project really special. Therefore we commemorate her story and want to pass it on.
Supporters
Our project and efforts could have never been realised without support of various people and organisations.
We want to thank especially:
Organisers
The project was initiated by the Polish partner organisation – Edith Stein Society – especially by Jens Adam, who brought the idea into life.
In Berlin, Germany, the project was organised by Anke Schnabel and Kai Gruzdz from the Museum Otto Weidt’s Workshop for the Blind. We have managed to establish not only a long term cooperation but also trust and friendship.
In Israel we have worked with World Union of Jewish Students in Jerusalem (special thanks to Naomi Mittelmann and Ori Richter), Haifa Hillel – the Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, and YOFI – Youth Forum Israel in Ashdod.
We are grateful to each of the persons and institutions that helped this project exist and continue.
