Seminar in Germany and Poland for multiplicators from Poland, Germany and Israel. Righteous Among the Nations – in memory of the courageous rescuers Jarosława and Izydor Wołosiański

August 3rd – August 16th 2007 (Berlin, Wrocław)

Main aim: To create an exhibition commemorating the story of Jarosława and Izydor Wołosiański

Content: Again a group of 21 youth workers met in Berlin and Wrocław. After the first part connected with the Righteous subject generally, the participants focused on the story of Wołosiański. Three working groups were preparing an exhibition: 1) the Content group chose photos and wrote texts; 2) the Designing group arranged the room; 3) the Radio group prepared an Audio material about the story. A festive exhibition opening took place on the 14th August 2007 in the EDITH STEIN HOUSE (Wrocław). At the opening we could welcome the survivor Stella Arad with her family and Wołosiańskis’ daughter – Ania Piłko – with their grand- and great-grandchildren.

Exhibition in Berlin

December 3rd 2007 (Berlin – Germany)

Main aim: To show the exhibition about Wołosiański also in Berlin

Content: An official opening of the exhibition in Berlin was prepared by most of the participants of the summer project. They met again to help designing the new room (Museum Otto Weidt’s Workshop for the Blind) and were present at the opening. We invited Stella Arad from Israel who spoke at the opening, asked and translated by the project participants. Also members of the Wołosiański family came to the opening.
