Edition 2010
New edition of the project was lunched in 2010. Experience of all previouse editions were used for developing educational manual and professional exibition.
New project, titled: Indifference hurts aimd to promote common European history and values by popularizing stories of Righteous Among the Nations and another Silent Heroes – people who risked their lives to save Jews from persecution during World War 2.
A team consisting of experts from Germany and Poland will prepare an exhibition about Righteous from Breslau and Wroclaw, which will be opened for visitors in the Edith Stein House in Wrocław in April 2010 and later may be used and shown in another places.
Parallelly an international team of educators will work on educational tools – develop materials for teaching about Righteous and Silent Heroes and promote civil courage, tolerance and democracy nowadays. For this purpose we want to invite educators (experts, youth workers) from different countries of “old” and “new” Europe to share experiences and create something together. The materials and ideas will be promoted among teachers in Lower Silesia and also generally available online. We believe that it is crucial to remember about and learn from people who were not indifferent towards the evil.
